Senior Pastor Allan Anderson with his wife Leoni, founded Mid City Church in 1986.

Led by God to establish a church in the middle of Auckland City, with only modest resources and a promise of God's eventual visitation, they have diligently laboured in prayer, praise, preaching and counsel, for the select people who have made up the congregation at Mid City Church, over the last 25 years.

Allan's four adult children are actively involved in the Music, Sunday School and Youth ministries, and his brother-in-law Dene Thomas (a retired policeman and former detective) is also the Assistant Pastor.

Naturally, Sunday School and Creche are provided during services and mid-week, home group meetings are hosted through out the year.

Prior to entering into full time ministry in 1984, Pastor Allan was a medical research scientist for 18 years. He published some 12 scientific articles, and, one of the highlights of his medical career, was working in Capetown during 1971, in the research laboratory which assisted Dr Christian Barnard with his groundbreaking heart transplantations.

Pastor Allan is also the Founding Director and Principal of Pinpoint School of Biblical Counselling, which commenced in 1986 as well as Pinpoint Counselling Service, established in 1981.
