Mid City Church was founded by Pastor Allan Anderson and his wife Leoni in 1986. Called by God to establish a church in the middle of the city, with only modest resources and a promise of God's eventual visitation, they have diligently nurtured the spiritual lives of many a person. They have carried the burden of responsibility, of sustaining this part of the body of Christ, in order to see it through to fruition. Despite the spiritual resistance they have encountered along the way, both Allan and Leoni have gone the distance, and have proved their faithfulness to God, by their works.

The spiritual family that has been established at Mid City Church, over the last 20 years, is closely knit together, by the one thing we have in common, a genuine love for Jesus. Although intimate, and not without its adversities, we've managed to weather many a storm and by the grace of God, still be standing for Jesus.

Pastor Allan is supported by Pastor Dene Thomas, who is the Assistant Pastor. Allan's four children are also actively involved in the church.

We provide Sunday School and Creche during services, and have home group meetings during the week as well, which underscore the importance of teaching, spiritual nurture and fellowship for people of all backgrounds. Additionally we have a number of Departments which focus on important expressions of mission and ministry.

Of course, anointed preaching and teaching of the Word of God is paramount and is only surpassed in importance by our ministry to God through Praise and Worship, Prayer and Intercession, and, our love for Him.
